A concept store is a term commonly used, and misused, by retailers and marketers to refer to a physical retail space experimental in nature. The original concept store is Milan's 10 Corso Como, a requisite stop for art and fashion connoisseurs from the world over.  Founded by fashion editor Carla Sozzani as an art gallery in a converted garage in a courtyard, the space now includes a multi-use boutique as well as a restaurant. Unifying all the spaces is the concept of "slow shopping," which places a premium on an immersive experience unifying art and commerce. The entity has artfully delivered on the latter, as its unique multi-sensorial approach has expanded into outposts in South Korea, Japan and China.
