Positano was our second stop in our honeymoon. We took a ferry to this whimsical town on top of the mountains and by the sea. We stayed at the Covo dei Saraceni Hotel, which is conveniently located by the beach and marina. Crafty and a bit more bohemian in feel than its luxurious cousin Capri, Positano is a walker's, if not a hiker's, delight. Winding roads with different types of stores entertain you as you burn off some of the calories you're bound to consume between creamy gelati and sumptuous meals.

Culinary highlights in Positano included, Il Capitano with its amazing Bay views and delicious Neapolitan-style pizzas, gloried Chez Black with its iconic black squid sauce spaghetti, rustic family-run Bruno and its fabulous Amatraciana pasta, and Ristorante Max, serving traditional fare in an eighteenth century art gallery setting. While all incredibly romantic, no meal could top the dreamy setting at the candle-lit restaurant in the Palazzo Murat.
