Expo Milano 2015 to focus on food safety
The upcoming Universal Expo in 2015 will have Milan as base and the focus will be food safety and sustainability. The Expo dates back to 1851 when it was kicked off in London. Few know that the Eiffel tower was created for it was the turn for Paris to host. The ongoing focus of the Expo has been to provide a collective response to the universal challenges facing humanity.
The experiential nature of the event, with hundreds of countries contributing engaging content through breakthrough pavilions, delivers interactivity and dialogue between visitors and the theme. "Feeding the Planet. Energy for LIfe," is the focus for Expo Milano 2015, covering topics including access to healthy food, culinary innovations, and respect for culinary diversity and traditions. Known for breakthrough design, the Expo recently announced one of its first design elements, with Italy's Scandurra's studio's modernly diaphanous Gate Info pavilion.
