Dolce Gabbana's New Fall Collection, Viking-Inspired.

The Fall/Winter Men's 2014/2015 Collection By Dolce Gabbana took deep seasonal inspiration from ancient Scandinavia and the  Normans (Viking descendants) that invaded Southern mainland Italy and Sicily in the 11th Century. The motifs are curated references to a regal set  that includes the Norman Kings Ruggero I, Ruggero II, William I, William II, Tancredi, Henry VI, Federico II and Manfredi as well as visual references from Norman Sicily's architectural treasures. The Norman warrior influence is evidenced in the textures, prints and accessories, which include crests, crowns, armors, and prints redolent of Norman architecture. The effect is strongly baroque with a darkly sensual and moody  sartorial universe that would fit right in Game of Thrones. The collection solidly reaffirms Dolce & Gabbana's penchant for bold, dramatic statements.
